Pay Rate: £14.30 per hour
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term Time Only)

About the Role
Teaching Personnel is recruiting a SEN Classroom Support Worker to work across schools in Swansea and Carmarthenshire.
You will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including autism, SEMH, and complex needs.
This is a hands-on role supporting pupils who may struggle in a mainstream classroom. You’ll help them stay engaged, manage emotions, and make progress in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Support pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis
* Assist with learning activities and classroom tasks
* Help manage behaviour using de-escalation strategies
* Support emotional regulation and engagement
* Assist with personal care where required
* Work closely with teachers and school staff

Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people (SEN/ALN preferred)
* Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to remain calm in challenging situations
You will also need (support provided):
* Enhanced DBS (Update Service)
* EWC Registration
* Safeguarding Training
* Two recent references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
