We’re supporting a leading Tier 1 main contractor in their search for an experienced Design Manager or Senior Design Manager to join their East Midlands team. This role will focus on complex, technical build projects, with a strong emphasis on MoJ and MoD projects.
The Role:
* Lead and manage the design process from pre‑construction to handover.
* Work closely with project and commercial teams on high‑value, secure projects.
* Coordinate design teams, consultants and specialist subcontractors.
* Ensure compliance, buildability and design quality across all stages.
* Identify design risks and drive effective solutions.
About You:
* Proven experience as a DM or Senior DM within major construction projects.
* Background working on secure, MoJ or MoD schemes is highly desirable.
* Strong technical understanding and excellent coordination skills.
* Confident communicator able to lead design strategy on complex builds.
Package:
* Salary up to £80,000, depending on experience.
