Role Overview As a Year 1 Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver structured, engaging lessons across the Year 1 curriculum Use assessment to monitor pupil progress and inform future planning Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and higher-attaining learners Promote positive behaviour, independence, and resilience Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leadership Support pupils’ social and emotional development alongside academic growth Communicate effectively with parents and carers Participate in staff meetings, CPD, and school-wide initiatives This position provides the opportunity to make a lasting impact on pupils’ learning, building strong foundations for their educational journey.
