Day Shift working 3 on 3 off 8-8
Responsibilities
* Plan and implement the kind of care that gives residents security, dignity and independence.
* Get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
* Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care; be a positive influence on the team.
* Demonstrate kindness in all interactions, whether showing a colleague how to use a walking frame, assisting with meals at end of life, or talking with a resident's family on the phone.
* Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administer medication.
* Maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with the team.
Qualifications
* Ideally, Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Care; prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent.
* Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
* Excellent positive energy and ability to get along with people; strong record-keeping and time-management skills.
Safeguarding and Training
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must recognise signs of potential abuse, harm or neglect, know what to do if concerns arise, attend safeguarding training appropriate to your role, and undertake additional training as required.
