Overview
Fuse Rail is looking to recruit an experienced E&P Project Manager to join the team, working from our main office in Folkestone, Kent, on projects throughout the South East.
Purpose of the Position
The E&P Project Manager will support the Senior Project Manager and production team by organizing and motivating the team to ensure work is undertaken safely, efficiently, and to the relevant standards.
Responsibilities
1. Develop maintenance, construction, design, and project works to meet key business objectives.
2. Maintain effective assurance to control risks and enable project completion in compliance with standards, performance, and business processes.
3. Build and maintain relationships with key senior customers, stakeholders, and suppliers within the Infrastructure Construction & Engineering (ICE) portfolio.
4. Assign and discharge Construction Design Management (CDM) obligations for all projects in the programme.
5. Lead by example in applying the Fuse Rail Management System and promote continual business improvement.
6. Control and verify the quality of work and ensure assets meet standards.
7. Ensure staff and subcontractors possess appropriate and valid competencies.
8. Check that vehicles, plant, tools, equipment, and materials are fit for use, correctly stored, and disposed of.
9. Report all work accurately and maintain necessary records.
10. Operate within the limits of delegated authorities as per the Delegated Authority Policy.
11. Contribute to personal and team development.
12. Adhere to company policies and procedures.
13. Respect confidentiality and comply with GDPR.
14. Prioritize health and safety for yourself and others, using equipment properly and reporting hazards.
Experience
1. Minimum of 5 years in a similar role and industry.
2. E&P bias (CRE/ETE preferred but not essential).
3. Experience with CRE or CEM.
4. Motivated, enthusiastic, and organized.
5. Ability to work independently and in a team.
6. Experience managing large, complex delivery organizations in safety-critical environments.
7. Leadership skills with a focus on collaboration and performance improvement.
8. Knowledge of health and safety management, investigation processes, and relevant standards.
9. IT literate and excellent communication skills.
10. Full UK Driving Licence and current Personal Track Safety Competence (PTS).
11. Membership of a professional body.
