We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Groundsman with chainsaw experience to join our team.
This is primarily a ground-based role supporting the Tree Surgeon, with work split between tree surgery operations and general grounds maintenance across various sites.
You must be able to travel to our yard in Hockley (SS5) for a 6:30am start (sometimes earlier).
Main Duties:
* Operating a chainsaw safely (cross-cutting, felling small trees, processing timber)
* Assisting with tree dismantles from the ground
* Feeding and operating woodchippers
* Site clearance and maintaining safe working areas
* Grass cutting, hedge trimming, pruning and general grounds maintenance
* Operating and maintaining tools and machinery
Essential:
* CS30 & CS31 (minimum)
* Proven chainsaw experience
* Full UK driving licence
* Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
* Punctual, hardworking and willing to work long hours during peak periods
Desirable:
* CS38 & CS39
* Previous arboriculture or grounds maintenance experience
* Mechanical knowledge
Self-employed or contract basis available.
Pay negotiable depending on experience.
