He Principal Subsea Development Engineer will provide support to the execution of early engineering developments and occasionally lead studies for clients across the globe The Principal Subsea Development Engineer will support tendering activities and write CTRs for new early engineering scopes as and when required The position requires client engagement and has key influence for the successful early engineering project delivery The role is focused on project development but occasionally there is requirement for decommissioning, integrity management and IRM, depending on engineer’s experience The Principal Subsea Development Engineer will be an active participant in industry events and ensure they keep up to date with latest technology that will bring value to the Front End and Design Engineering team Key Responsibilities Technical execution of feasibility, concept and FEED studies with focus on technical excellence, flawless execution, reducing cost & maximizing profit without compromise to quality or safety Actively and positively contribute to SURF (Subsea, Umbilical, Riser and Flowline) study work from early development phases including installation studies Client liaison, supervision and guidance to internal resources and follow-up of subcontractors necessary to complete the studies, with focus on value to the client, the project and Ocean Installer Develop robust, safe and optimised methods and offshore execution strategies, including focus on integration, engineering, fabrication and installation schedule Using knowledge and experience to produce development options for feasibility and concept studies Provide technical support to the development of field layouts, execution schedules and EPCI cost estimates Development of key study deliverables, including reports and presentations, ensuring clear and concise but valuable conclusions for the client Be a lead and role model to other members of the team and parts of Ocean Installer Ensure design interfaces (both internal and external) have a clear understanding of their scope of work and provide the correct level of detail for the scope Producing technical reports in conjunction with commercial, discipline engineers, CAD, HSE and planning Focus on reducing cost & maximizing profit without compromise to quality or safety Other Duties Adhere to Company policies and procedures and actively encourage others to follow them at all times.
