Pump EngineerLocation: London (Mobile with Van) Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
My client are looking for a skilled and reliable Pump Engineer to join their team, responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of pump systems across commercial and industrial sites throughout London.
This is a field-based role requiring strong fault-finding ability, mechanical knowledge, and a proactive approach to customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a range of pump systems
* Diagnose and repair faults including leaks, pressure loss, vibration, overheating, and electrical/control issues
* Remove, overhaul, and reinstall pumps and associated equipment
* Work on systems such as:
o Booster sets
o Circulation pumps
o Sump & sewage pumps
o Pressurisation units
* Perform system testing, commissioning, and performance checks
* Complete service reports, job sheets, and compliance documentation
* Liaise with customers and site managers to explain issues and solutions
* Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures
The Person
* Proven experience working as a pump engineer, mechanical engineer, or service engineer
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Good understanding ofmechanical systems, hydraulics, and basic electrics
* Experience working on commercial or industrial pump systems
* Ability to work independently in a mobile role
* Full UK driving licence
