Fixed Term: 12 months
Hours
Full-time: up to 10 Programmed Activities (DCC:SPA = 8:2)
Location
Barking Community Hospital, Upney Lane, Barking, Essex, IG11 9LX
Qualifications needed:
* Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
* Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this
* Mastery in managing a broad range of mental disorders in adults, including neurodevelopmental disorders
Experience and Training
At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or equivalent part-time) with at least 2 years in a relevant specialty training program or as a fixed-term specialty trainee, or equivalent experience and competencies.
Main duties of the job
* Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to adults with mental health needs across Western Barking & Dagenham.
* Provide senior medical support and direct input on clinical cases.
* Guide and supervise team members.
* Work directly with adults and their families; liaise with other external adult mental health providers and hospitals.
* Develop links with local A&E departments and inpatient wards.
* Assess, manage, plan, and deliver care for patients assigned to you.
* Support peers and team managers; work independently when needed.
* Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social care professionals and agencies.

* Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
