Associate – Property Litigation (3–5 PQE)

We are seeking a technically strong Property Litigation Associate to join our growing team. This role is suited to a solicitor with 3–5 years’ PQE who can confidently manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision, while continuing to develop their technical expertise on more complex matters.
About the Team
Our Property Litigation team is recognised for its technical strength in residential leasehold and landlord & tenant disputes. We act for landlords and managing agents on both high-volume portfolios and complex, high-value matters, offering a collaborative environment and clear progression.
This is a specialist role focused on residential leasehold and landlord & tenant litigation. We are particularly interested in candidates with hands‑on experience in this area.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of medium to high‑value property litigation matters
* Draft and review pleadings, witness statements, and legal advice
* Handle disputes relating to leasehold litigation, service charges, breach of covenant and forfeiture
* Represent clients in the First‑tier Tribunal (Property Chamber)
* Support senior colleagues on complex matters
* Supervise junior team members where appropriate
* Build advocacy experience and take increasing responsibility for hearings
Required Experience
* Property litigation and landlord & tenant law
* Leasehold disputes and property management‑related advice
* Tribunal work, particularly FTT (Property Chamber)
* Service charge disputes and lease interpretation
Highly desirable
* Building Safety Act matters
* Remediation Orders / Remediation Contribution Orders
* Leasehold and Freehold Reform Act 2024
* Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002

* Commercially aware with strong technical ability
* Confident managing files independently
* Strong drafting and client communication skills
* Motivated to deepen your specialism within a structured progression framework
