Position: Spa Receptionist, minimum 25 hour contract
Overview:
Overview: Matfen Hall is a privately owned five-star country house 65-bedroom hotel, spa, and golf course. Converted to a Hotel in 1999 by Sir Hugh and Lady Anna Blackett, the Hotel was purchased by Sir David and Lady Sylvia Harrison and Family in August 2020.
Since the takeover in 2020, a programme of refurbishment and repositioning of Matfen Hall has taken place, with further investment to follow. The direction of the business is to achieve 5 Red Star status within the next two years. As a Spa Receptionist you will be part of the repositioning of the Hotel from its previous status as a volume wedding venue and hotel to become a luxury property offering a high-level service with a broad product offering that endears guests to stay for several nights.
The business is now in need of a Spa Receptionist to join our existing team. Working with the long standing team and Spa Director to deliver outstanding experiences for our guests and members.
As a Spa Receptionist you will welcome our guests to the spa ensuring that their experience starts from the moment they arrive, offering welcome drinks and making them feel at ease in preparation for their treatment.
SPA RECEPTIONIST DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Be knowledgeable about spa software, ideally Prem Spa.
· Being knowledgeable about the spa, the hotel as a whole and the brands we carry in the spa.
· Liaise with our reservations team who will be the first point of contact for all guests, ensure that all details are correctly handed over
· Check lounge area and make sure fresh water is there
· Check all spa is tidy for arrival of guests
· Check all treatments for that day with therapists
· Prepare all spa guests packages
· Meet and greet clients- show them round pool area etc and attend to their needs throughout the day.
· Prepare/ serve welcome drinks
· Check pool areas frequently and take poolside orders
· Look after guests using lounge area and work with F&B for 5 star food service
· Help with turnovers of rooms if busy
· Work with head therapists to order stock with management.
· Create appointments with trainers and marketing reps from our brands. Be expected to attend these also for further brand awareness.
PREREQUISITES:
* Strong communication with colleagues and guests.
* Positive attitude.
* Maintain client records.
* Work with the Hotel Reception team to ensure guests arrival experience is positive.
* Work with the Leisure facilities team to ensure that spa facilities are monitored, clean, tidy and comfortable.
* Work with the team to ensure a fair distribution of more strenuous treatments.
* Immaculate personal presentation.
* High levels of personal hygiene.
* Strive to meet customer requests, needs and expectations.
* Maintain equipment and products.
* Through training, have an in-depth awareness of products in order to give recommendations and achieve retail sales.
* Ensure treatment availability in maximised by daily preparations.
* Ensure daily task sheets are completed to the required standards.
* Must have own car to commute for this role as public transport is not available.
EDUCATION:
* A working knowledge of Prem Spa Reservations system
EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate will have reception experience within a luxury hotel spa setting. Prior experience of Natura Bisse and Germaine de Cappucini products and protocols would be preferrable. Though training will be provided.
