Overview
HC-One are looking for a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning and housekeeping. You'll also need technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as ideally some IT skills. And, whenever you communicate with a resident or co-worker, you'll be truly considerate and kind.
Responsibilities
* Make sure residents live in a place that is proactively inspected and brilliantly maintained at all times.
* Carry out audits and ensure records are kept up to date.
* Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks, including replacing taps or mixer valves, fitting new extractor fans, repairing timber on bedroom windows, or putting up new wallpaper, with a focus on kindness.
Safeguarding
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if there are concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
