We are proud to have been awarded a 10-year Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contract by ReNew ELP at the world’s first commercial-scale plastic recycling plant. We are now forming our site team based in Teesside, committed to safe, efficient operations and maintenance using HydroPRS technology to chemically recycle end-of-life plastic. As we commence commissioning and start-up, your experience will help us achieve recycling of over 20,000 tonnes of waste plastic annually, with potential for expansion.
The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an Engineering & Maintenance Manager. The role involves leading the site Engineering & Maintenance team, ensuring compliance with business, client site permit, and legislative requirements. You will provide leadership, management, and strategic direction for engineering and maintenance activities, supported by personalized training, coaching, mentoring, and regular development reviews.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all E&M processes, systems, and reporting mechanisms are in place for managing engineering risks and meeting legislative requirements. Promote disciplined maintenance as best practice and ensure effective communication and monitoring among all personnel.
* Provide guidance and support during major engineering events, outages, and incidents. Lead investigations, audits, procedural actions, and communication efforts.
* Manage and supervise the E&M Department, ensuring safety, timeliness, and competency. Oversee work programs, budgets, and ensure maintenance costs stay within the approved budget.
* Ensure technical expertise is available on-site, sourcing from internal teams or head office as needed.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Minimum Requirements:
* HNC or equivalent in chemical, mechanical, electrical, control, instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
* IOSH Certificate – Managing Safely.
* Experience managing chemical process plant or waste recycling/material handling operations in a 24/7 environment.
* Experience in system development, implementation, and evaluation, including Management of Change.
* Familiarity with budget management, operational, and capital budgets.
* Fault diagnosis, problem-solving, and O&M responsibilities with material handling units.
