Hours: 2pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday.
Job Overview
* Protect the customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in accordance with the published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.
* Deliver results that meet or exceed the Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer, ensuring accountability and contributing to contract retention.
* Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self‑development.
Main Duties
* Ensure compliance with all policies, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK law.
* Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the Assignment Instructions (AI's).
* Review and be proactive in supporting any changes to the Assignment Instructions, suggesting amendments that improve or enhance service levels.
* Maintain all required licences (e.g., Security Guarding or Door Supervision licence, CCTV PSS SIA Licence) and wear them at all times whilst carrying out duties.
* Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
* Follow instructions and procedures appropriately, avoiding unnecessary challenge to authority.
* Work in a systematic, methodological and orderly manner.
Training
* Complete all required competency training satisfactorily.
* Undertake additional training for continuous self‑development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
* Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge through continual professional development.
* Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
* Identify and immediately report any health and safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
* Remain alert to any threats or changes within the work environment and take appropriate action to reduce the risk of disruption, loss or damage.
* Use common sense and initiative to involve others if a situation appears threatening.
* Maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
* Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry promptly after any incident for the Incident Report process.
* Adhere to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the client.
* Ensure check calls are performed at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).
* Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
Qualifications
* Previous security experience required.
* Valid SIA licence.
* SC clearance desirable.
