Job Title: Service Manager, Adolescent Safeguarding
Location: Dudley
Rates: £400 - £500 per day
Contract: Interim
We have implemented Family Safeguarding Practice across children's services. It is a strengths-based, whole-family approach to child protection, bringing together individual multi-disciplinary teams comprising of professionals from children's and adult services to work intensively with families to reduce the number of children entering into care or becoming subject to child protection planning.
The Adolescent Safeguarding service is continuing to drive improvements and practice development to embed the family safeguarding model into our practice with adolescent children and their families. We have secured additional resourcing on a secondment basis to continue to drive performance and improvement within Adolescent safeguarding.
We are looking for a confident and passionate manager to act as a service manager through a secondment opportunity. As the service improvement service manager, you will drive performance across the adolescent safeguarding service, ensuring that the voice of the child and family group decision making is at the heart of our work, alongside creative, innovated and child centred planning, to keep children of all ages safe.
We are looking for a candidate who has proven track experience in developing and managing partnerships and leading teams to help our children and families reach their aspirations and goals. The right candidate will manage a range of resources and budgets and be creative in delivering services which positively impact on the outcomes our children and young people and their families aspire to achieve.
Service Manager will also be part of our Emergency Duty Team Call Out Rota - however, the maximum number of days they would be required to cover is never more than 3 so this shouldn't have an impact on them not applying for this post as it's likely they are on a similar rota elsewhere already.
Key priorities for the role include:
Service management oversight of care planning and management of care plans for children
Strategic support and oversight of development and improvement in the service
Oversight of MACE/ exploitation panels and responses
Management support to existing TMs and SMs
Support and oversight in terms of Legal pathways for children open within the service
Practice improvement and development in terms of management oversight and practice with families and children.
Support to relaunch family safeguarding principles and practice within adolescent safeguarding
