Relaunched through a partnership with Manchester City FC, MCWFC entered the FA Women’s Super League and professionalised in 2014. Manchester City Women aims to be the leading women’s sporting organisation globally. We are recruiting a 1st Team Goalkeeping Coach with the following responsibilities:
* Shape the environment and development of goalkeepers to enable them to perform at their best.
* Plan, deliver, and review world-class goalkeeping training sessions aligned with the team’s style and game model.
* Maximise technical and tactical development of the team and individual players, supporting their growth according to Personal Development Plans (IPDs).
* Contribute to talent identification to build and maintain a top-tier team with the world’s best goalkeepers.

Your Impact
Training Session Planning and Delivery:
* Develop and document comprehensive goalkeeping training plans in collaboration with coaching staff and MDT, aligned with the team’s style.
* Deliver engaging training sessions that challenge and develop players’ skills.
* Plan and review set-piece practices with performance analysts for maximum impact.
* Support individual player development in line with IDPs.
Training and Match Review:
* Review training and matches to improve goalkeeping performance.
* Work with analysts within the WITTW framework to enhance team and individual performance.
Learning and Development:
* Contribute to a high-performance learning environment for players and coaches.
* Continuously develop your coaching methods and knowledge.
Communication, Building Relationships and Leading:
* Build strong relationships with players and staff, inspiring and motivating.
* Promote professional standards and a positive team environment.
* Participate actively in meetings and collaborative efforts.
Talent Identification and Development:
* Observe and identify talented goalkeepers during training and matches.
* Work with academy staff to nurture talent and facilitate progression to the first team.
* Oversee the development of goalkeepers on loan.
What we are looking for
* UEFA A Licence Goalkeeping Coaching Award
* UEFA A Licence Coaching Award
* Experience as an elite goalkeeping coach in professional football
* Understanding of Manchester City’s playing style and game model
* Proven ability to plan, deliver, and review training programs
* Experience motivating athletes and working under pressure
* Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
* Experience with advanced football technical programs
* Drive for excellence and openness to feedback
* Previous experience in women’s professional football is preferred
