Transport Administrator – The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join a busy and fast-paced transport office within a well-established national logistics and distribution operation based at Magna Park, Lutterworth.
This Transport Administrator role plays a key part in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of deliveries, driver communication, vehicle movements, and transport administration.
The successful Transport Administrator will be working in a high-volume environment where accuracy, organisation, and strong communication skills are essential.
This opportunity would suit someone with previous experience as a:
* Transport Administrator
* Logistics Administrator
* Fleet Administrator
* Traffic Office Administrator
* Haulage / Distribution Administrator
Key Responsibilities
As a Transport Administrator, you will be responsible for:
• Providing day-to-day administrative support to the transport department
• Processing transport paperwork accurately and efficiently
• Updating internal systems with vehicle, trailer, driver, and delivery information
• Liaising with drivers regarding routes, delays, paperwork, and queries
• Monitoring and tracking deliveries, collections, and trailer movements
• Handling incoming calls and emails from customers, drivers, and internal teams
• Supporting driver debriefs and ensuring all documentation is returned correctly
• Escalating delays, issues, or discrepancies where required
• Assisting with compliance administration and maintaining accurate records
• Working closely with warehouse and operations teams to maintain service levels
What We’re Looking For
• Previous administration experience is essential
• Experience within transport, logistics, fleet, haulage, or distribution is highly desirable
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confident communicator over the phone and via email
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy transport office
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and transport systems
• Reliable, proactive, and team-focused
