Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Nutanix) | £60,000 - £70,000 + Benefits
The Opportunity:
An opportunity has arisen for an Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a technology organisation delivering secure, enterprise infrastructure platforms in highly regulated environments. The role focuses on building and deploying Nutanix-based hyper-converged infrastructure, working closely with architecture, cloud, networking, and security teams to deliver scalable and resilient platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
* Designing, building, and deploying Nutanix HCI clusters including compute, storage, and virtualisation components.
* Installing and configuring Nutanix AHV, AOS, Prism, and associated management tools.
* Delivering infrastructure builds in line with architectural designs, security policies, and operational standards.
* Supporting infrastructure projects including deployments, upgrades, migrations, and platform expansions.
* Optimising and maintaining platform performance, resilience, and availability.
* Collaborating with networking, cloud, and security teams to integrate infrastructure into wider environments.
* Producing and maintaining technical documentation, build standards, and operational runbooks.
* Providing technical support and escalation for complex infrastructure issues.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Hands-on experience building and configuring Nutanix HCI environments.
* Strong knowledge of virtualisation, compute, and storage platforms.
* Experience deploying clustered infrastructure and managing platform lifecycles.
* Understanding of infrastructure security, resilience, and availability principles.
* Ability to implement infrastructure from technical designs.
* Strong documentation and communication skills.
