Responsibilities
* Work with limited supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing a clerical support service to nursing staff at ward level.
* Greet patients on arrival, book appointments, send out appointment letters/patient information, and answer telephone queries regarding appointments.
* Display sensitivity and tact in dealing with patients and relatives; use prioritising skills and discretion to organize a daily workload to meet deadlines and varying levels of urgency.
* Maintain computer literacy to use the automated appointment system.
Apprenticeship entry requirements
* Before reaching end point assessment, you will be required to achieve level 2 functional skills English and Math, or equivalent. Classroom learning will be provided if not already achieved.
* Please ensure you include English and Maths qualifications on your application form – otherwise you may not be shortlisted.
* The business administrator apprenticeship will generally take up to 21 months to complete, including end point assessment.
* Training will be provided weekly by our in-house team of tutors and trainers (within contracted working hours).
