The Role
On Event Production Co. has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, and adaptable individual to join our team as an Accounts Assistant.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team on a part-time basis. The primary focus of this role will be on purchase ledger processing and will involve other accounts administration. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to balance working part-time with other commitments while contributing to a vital function within our organisation.
We are seeking a part-time commitment of 2 days per week, plus would also be open to considering spreading the two days hours over more days should this be preferred to balance work around other commitments.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of experience in a purchase ledger role.
Key Responsibilities
* Process purchase invoices and ensure they are accurately recorded.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
* Assist with the preparation of payment runs.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions.
* Communicate with suppliers and members of the team to resolve any invoice queries.
* Process employee credit cards receipts and ensure that are accurately recorded.
* Support the finance team with other accounts tasks as required.
Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in an accounting role, particularly with purchase ledger processing or similar responsibilities, is essential
* A passion for numbers, accuracy and efficiency.
* Strong attention to detail and procedures.
* Good organisational and time management skills.
* Proficiency in Sage accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Responsible, assertive, approachable, adaptable, honest, tactful, and diplomatic.
Working Hours
This part-time role requires 15 hours per week, ideally spread over two days and based on-site at our office. However, for the right candidate, there may be flexibility in how these hours are distributed across the week.
