The National Field Manager works in conjunction with the client and manager to provide strategic direction to the client, adding value and driving commercial development initiatives. To professionally recruit, manage, direct and motivate a team of Regional Sales Managers. To enforce all agreed field performance standards, procedures and systems, ensuring that deadlines are met and that all company policies are applied throughout the Field team.
Strategy
Agree business objectives and KPIs for Regional Sales Managers with the client and your line manager, each period.
Conduct monthly team meetings to discuss results, provide training and provide direction on key strategic priorities for the forthcoming period.
Attend and contribute at client reviews to include presentation of results, competitor activity, personnel overviews, ideas and initiatives.
Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders within the client’s commercial team, to ensure strategic alignment.
Leadership
Conduct individual performance appraisals and implement personal development plans.
Conduct individual development days and coaching sessions in the field, to improve performance.
Ensure that each Regional Sales Manager clearly understands their job role and key result areas.
Performance
Ensure the team’s achievement of KPIs, ROI and other targets set by client, across each period.
Assume responsibility for increasing average intervention values per Regional Sales Managers teams’ satisfaction and retention.
Train and develop the Regional Sales Managers, as required.
Recruit high-quality personnel in a timely manner, ensuring minimum disruption to coverage.
New Business

Keep abreast of trends, news and information concerning the industry and market.

Prepare and carry out high-profile store visits with the client, to maximise future opportunities.
*
Provide regular written, verbal and electronic communication with your line manager, of all identified areas of feedback or opportunities.
Data Recording & Reporting
*
Conduct regular analysis of team performance in conjunction with data insights and production of weekly and monthly reports, as agreed with your line manager.
Compliance
*
Ensure that all Regional Sales Managers and Strikers complete retailer accreditation schemes and GDPR tests.
*
Ensure that all Regional Sales Managers and Strikers have a full understanding of each retailers’ expected standards of performance and conduct within store.
Technical
*
Display a comprehensive understanding of the 360-script tablet operation, to optimise data capture.
*
Understand rapid response data alerts and intervention values, to drive team performance.
Financials
*
Continuously monitor the Regional Sales Manager budget, ensuring that it is not exceeded.
*
Accurately reconcile the team’s expenses and fuel costing (PHH).
*
Calculate the team’s bonus, subject to account budget and their performance and achievement across the period.
Administration
*
Validate field results by carrying out the specified number of audits required by the current field audit procedure.
Control and maintain records for all equipment and company property allocated to the Field team.
