The role will work across the Communities Team, the Authority and with partners to create, lead and manage a range of partnerships and programmes to improve the lives of specific vulnerable communities including victims and perpetrators of domestic violence and abuse, and refugees resettled in Devon under official programmes. The role will also lead and manage the commissioning, service design and contract management for all commissioned services across the Communities Team to ensure that the Team applies a consistent and purposeful approach when delivering existing commitments and when evaluating and responding to emerging or new opportunities and priorities. This will include managing changes in the Authority’s role in delivery, leadership, partnership and commissioning.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Design, plan and lead specific partnerships, programmes and commissioned services using appropriate design, development or prototyping approaches and robust programme/project delivery. The initial scope of responsibility will be: Libraries, Youth Services, Heritage Services, Domestic Violence and Abuse, Gypsy and Traveller needs and responses, refugee resettlement. This includes accountability for budgets including:
1. Ukrainian Refugee resettlement £20m over period
2. Domestic and Sexual Violence and Abuse: Services: Services: £7m
3. Heritage Services: £800k
