Our client is a fast‑developing care organisation specialising in live‑in care, home and domiciliary care, night support, and supported living services. They also provide end‑of‑life support, reflecting a commitment to treat clients with care, dignity and respect.

Role
Full‑time Care Assistant who works in the community, travelling to client homes primarily located in Crawley, Haywards Heath and Horsham. Care Assistants are the standard bearers of the organisation, requiring responsibility, honesty, commitment, responsiveness, professionalism and teamwork.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out duties assigned by the Care Co‑ordinator in accordance with the client’s care plan or social services care plan.
* Maintaining and updating records, including medication records as necessary.
* Respecting the independence, dignity, privacy and confidentiality of all clients in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Developing and leading activities for clients.
* Keeping families updated on the client’s progress.
* Complying with Care Certificate Standards, Domiciliary Care Regulations and other requirements outlined in the company handbook.
* Reporting suspicions of abuse or violence towards a client in line with the company’s safeguarding policies and protocols.
* Reporting any conduct potentially prejudicial to the health or wellbeing of the client.
* Attending Care Assistants’ team meetings and supervision as required.
* Promoting or assisting with personal hygiene, including washing, bathing, toileting, dressing and getting ready for bed.
* Undertaking household tasks such as shopping, laundry, light domestic duties and minor financial transactions, including payment of bills.
* Encouraging and enabling independence and activities appropriate to the person’s abilities.
* Being aware of the appropriate actions to take in case of an emergency.
* Complying with Moving and Handling legislation when moving clients (training will be provided).
* Working with other professionals, family or friends to ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients.
* Undergoing training to carry out duties to the highest standards and contribute to personal development.

* Pay: £13.00 per hour.

Requirements
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Own car.
* Flexibility to travel to client locations.
