Oxforshire County Council are seeking 3 experienced Social Workers to join our Adults Safeguarding team. You’ll be joining a forward-thinking local authoritymitted to delivering high-quality adult social care services. The Adults Safeguarding team works collaboratively across health, housing, andmunity partners to support vulnerable adults and promote safe, independent living. The organisation values agile working and supports staff with flexible arrangements while maintaining strong team connections.
Your new role
As a Social Worker in the Adults Safeguarding team, you will:
1. Undertake strength-based assessments and reviews.
2. Carry out safeguarding enquiries in line with the Care Act 2014 and “Making Safeguarding Personal” principles.
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver better oues.
4. Provide personalised advice and support plans.
5. Promote independence through reablement services, equipment, and housing adaptations.
6. Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development.
You’ll be expected to attend the office at least 2 days per week, with more frequent attendance during the initial months to support team integration.
What you'll need to succeed
7. A recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
8. Demonstrable experience in adult safeguarding.
9. Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation (Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, etc.).
10. Excellentmunication, assessment, and record-keeping skills.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
