Scope of Role
Reporting to the Shift Manager, the production Team member will operate machinery to produce and fit Energy Storage products to satisfy customer quality and demand. Combination of 12 hour shifts across days and nights is applicable.
All tasks are carried out in strict adherence to Kingspan's HSE procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operate machinery and fit our products to satisfy customer quality and demand.
2. Work as part of the production team.
3. Maintain required quality standards and carry out product quality checks as part of the production process.
4. Perform simple preventative maintenance tasks as required.
5. Complete production, quality, and maintenance reports.
6. Work safely and effectively in accordance with the work instructions for the tasks and comply with all health and safety standards.
7. Meet machinery/fitting production targets and actively participate in activities designed to continuously improve machine and fitting productivity.
8. Ensure all products meet customer specifications and are well presented.
9. Carry out all safety, production, quality checks, and complete documentation as appropriate.
10. Work within a team or unsupervised, and ensure “right first time”.
11. Minimise downtimes in all areas.
12. Any other job requested by management.
Person Specification
1. GCSEs (or equivalent) grade C or above in Mathematics and English Language. Significant relevant experience in a warehousing role may be considered in lieu of academic qualifications.
2. Previous experience operating in a warehouse environment.
3. Experience within a fast-moving manufacturing environment operating heavy machinery.
4. A practical knowledge of assembly techniques consistent with the company product range.
5. Experience in using hand tools including drills, etc.
6. Ability to work as part of a team and also on your own initiative.
7. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to accurately measure and document production activities.
9. A mature attitude to work which encompasses health & safety and quality.
10. Attention to detail.
11. Effective time management.
12. Previous forklift training (desirable).
