To be responsible for providing technical solutions and support on complex repairs and maintenance issues related to damp, mould and condensation (DMC), as directed by the Housing Asset Manager. To ensure that solutions are delivered, monitored and reported accurately to the Housing Asset Manager.

Requirements
To assist the Housing Asset Manager as required and be responsible for detailed property condition inspections, surveys and instructing cost-effective solutions to address damp, mould and condensation issues.
\n
To procure works in accordance with the Council’s Procurement Policy and Financial Regulations and control costs to ensure that all works offer best value.
\n
To act as the Housing Client to protect and deliver high-quality, resident focused DMC solutions by working collaboratively with other departments, sections, consultants and contractors.
\n
To promote positive behaviours in the workplace and promote safe working within the Housing Service.
The Individual
Sound property management and building pathology experience
\n
House condition survey experience
\n
Computer literacy, use of a range of databases, case management system and spreadsheets
\n
Project management skills
\n
HNC Construction Management, or HNC in a property related discipline*
\n
Ability to manage complex situations and identify appropriate solutions
\n
Sound contracts management skills
\n
Full driving license and use of car for work purposes
\n
Worked in property improvement / maintenance environment
\n
Ability to monitor and negotiate with contractors and consultants
\n
Good knowledge of relevant legislation
\n
Good communication skills (written and oral)
\n
Proven track record
\n
Ability to provide effective leadership within a customer focussed environment
\n
Ability to work on site within a construction environment
\n
Willingness to work flexibly and when required, outside office hours
\n
Ability to work in an open plan office
\n
Ability to work in different offices
\n
Able to work under pressure to balance competing demands and sustain outputs
\n
