Permanent Veterinary Surgeon – St. Helens Key Details: Working Days: Full-time preferred, part-time considered Hours: 4-day week Duties: Consultations, neuterings, and small surgical procedures, with branch sole charge and hospital support About the Role: Our client is seeking a confident Veterinary Surgeon to deliver high-quality consultations and routine surgeries across both branch and hospital settings. Around half of the role will involve sole charge at the branch level, with the option to make this the primary focus for candidates who prefer it, supported by the hospital team. The rota includes either 1 in 8 weekends or two Saturdays and one Sunday over eight weeks. There is an expectation to contribute to the out-of-hours rota for holiday and sickness cover. Individual progression is encouraged, with support from colleagues holding certificates in medicine, surgery, and diagnostic imaging.
