About The Role
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Regulatory Assurance Manager to work for our client within the financial services sector. This is initially a 3-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in London.
Our client is looking for a highly experienced Regulatory Assurance Manager who will lead independent reviews of prudential regulatory calculations and external reporting, with a focus on risk-weighted assets under CRR and Basel frameworks. You will also lead assurance cycles from start to finish—confidently challenging regulatory outputs, assessing compliance, and formulating clear conclusions and recommendations.
You will work directly with the lead of the assurance functions, supporting them in senior management engagement and communications. You will also work with the production teams and risk owners to agree remediation actions, ensuring issues are resolved effectively and sustainably. This is a high-impact role where your technical expertise and ability to influence will help strengthen the organisation's regulatory control environment and deliver meaningful change.
Responsibilities
* Identify, assess and mitigate prudential regulatory reporting risks while creating solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought
* Oversee regulatory reporting and maintain open communication with regulators to ensure that the organisation's activities and operations comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal control policies
* Ensure delivery of regulatory assurance on credit risk and securitisations, interrogating regulatory calculations, confirming achievement of compliance with regulations
* Demonstrate a clear set of leadership behaviours, creating an environment for colleagues to thrive and deliver to a consistently excellent standard
* Formulate unbiased opinions on whether regulatory compliance has been achieved while determining requirements needed to close identified gaps
* Ensure all assurance outcomes are substantiated with well written opinions supported with clear audit trail and evidence
* Build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
* Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem solving processes
* Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions while advising key stakeholders on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment
