MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS:
An exciting opportunity for a driven, sales leader to join the rapidly expanding Business Applications Practice at Kainos, one of the UK’s fastest growing technology companies.
The Business Development Manager/Director is a new business sales role within the Business Applications Practice to define and execute the go-to-market strategy of Business Applications and Business Application services across the Healthcare Sector.
As a Business Applications Business Development Manager/Director in Kainos, you will lead the Healthcare Sector Business Development team, responsible for growing our customer base and delivering our business development strategy. UK Public Healthcare expertise is essential for this role.
You will develop an extensive network of industry contacts, including senior stakeholders within the Central NHS, Trusts, and Private Healthcare space.
Using your existing network and relationships within our client base and the Kainos Healthcare Practice, you will lead strategic Business Development, ensuring cross-selling opportunities are maximized. You will collaborate with other teams across the business, managing opportunities from initial contact to contract signing.
Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager/Director will:
* Develop the Business Applications services offerings and go-to-market strategy for the Healthcare Sector.
* Manage and own the sales pipeline, qualifying and prioritizing opportunities to meet sales targets.
* Lead pre-sales activities, including lead generation and asset development for Healthcare Sector services.
* Contribute as an individual sales contributor.
* Collaborate with other sales and account teams to promote Business Applications services.
* Participate in key account planning to promote offerings effectively.
* Promote Kainos externally as a leader in Business Applications through campaigns and events.
* Represent Kainos externally, embodying the company's culture, values, and behaviors.
Requirements
We seek a success-driven, self-starting professional passionate about Business Applications solving customer challenges. You should:
* Have significant experience selling Microsoft Business Applications (Power Platform, Dynamics), CRM, or Intelligent Automation services.
* Have 5+ years of proven success in new business technology services sales with accountability for meeting financial targets.
* Be skilled in consultative selling, engaging with senior stakeholders to understand business needs.
* Experience developing new business offerings.
* Have extensive experience selling within the UK Healthcare Sector, especially NHS organizations and Trusts.
* Be customer-focused, with a track record of delivering value through technology.
* Be a team player, able to collaborate across functions.
* Be knowledgeable about sales processes and deal negotiations, including complex commercial offers.
* Demonstrate a record of meeting targets (quarterly and annually).
* Possess excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills at all organizational levels, including C-level.
* Operate effectively in competitive, high-pressure environments, making sound decisions.
* Have strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve escalations.
* Excel in networking and generating new prospect meetings.
* Possess excellent writing and presentation skills, articulating complex propositions clearly and compellingly.
* Have leadership and influencing skills to guide bid teams and influence stakeholders.
