 
        What's involved with this role: JOB TITLE: Transport Assessor REF: 000A 7495 / 1 Pay rate: £14.83 per hour (PAYE) Role length: Fixed term until 31st March 2026 Job type: Hybrid – flexible working after induction Location: Glenfield Postcode: LE3 8RA Hours: 30 hours per week Contract Type: Temporary The Role: Our clients Passenger Transport Services team is seeking a Transport Assessor to join the Risk Assessment Team within Environment and Transport. You will assess the transport requirements of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), completing and reviewing risk assessments to ensure safe and appropriate home-to-school transport. The role also supports wider administrative tasks across the service. Key Responsibilities: Complete and review individual transport risk assessments for children with SEND. Liaise empathetically with parents, carers, schools, and transport providers. Gather and interpret information to produce clear written reports. Maintain accurate records and data using Microsoft Office and database systems. Support the team to deliver high-quality, efficient, and safe transport services. What the Client is Looking For: Experience gathering and interpreting information to produce reports. Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, databases). Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Experience of working with or supporting individuals with SEND. Empathetic communication style and ability to work calmly under pressure. Collaborative team player with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Risk Assessment qualification desirable.
