Escape Recruitment is working exclusively with a growing and evolving business that has an opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join their Supply Chain Team.
This is an all-round role and the Senior Buyer will work closely with Colleagues and Suppliers and be responsible for end-to-end purchasing from placing POs, category strategies, negotiation and Supplier management.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
* Develop and implement procurement strategy for all direct and indirect categories
* Negotiate contracts, improved prices and terms of business
* Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
* Source new Suppliers for products and services to minimise the Supply Chain Risk
* Build strong collaborative working relationships with Suppliers
* Monitor supplier performance through regular reviews and proactively support any issues
* Continuously analyse supply chain processes and identify improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
Experience and knowledge for the role:
* Experience working in a similar Purchasing/Procurement/Buyer role within a fast-paced environment
* Strong Commercial, data analysis and negotiation skills
* Excellent communicator who can foster and build strong working relationships with Suppliers and Colleagues
* Experienced in managing Supplier relationships and performance
* Previous experience in using ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel Skills
* Thrives working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving business
* Comfortable to roll sleeves up and support colleagues when needed
* Flexible to travel occasionally to meet Suppliers
