Registrars are often well-organized, quick-thinking, and excellent communicators. Their job involves managing patient paperwork, validating insurance, and explaining forms, wait times, and insurance policies to patients. Although ER registrars aren't clinical medical providers, they play a key role in keeping hospital operations running smoothly, ensuring patients receive the care they need.Greeting patients and visitors. Collecting information needed to check patient in for their visit. Managing patient intake forms by explaining paperwork to patients, ensuring the completion of paperwork, filing forms and protecting patient confidentiality. Performing administrative tasks like answering the phone, filing paperwork, maintaining the admissions desk area, collecting payments and assisting visitors.**PRN Status Clause:**This is a PRN as-needed position, you must be available to work at least 12 hours bi-weekly, as needed according to departmental demands. You may be required to work additional hours if requested by your supervisor to accomplish work objectives.
