As a Production Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability of materials to meet customer requirements in line with the production plan. This role requires a proactive and process-driven approach, working closely with production teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient material flow.
What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?
*Create, maintain, and execute robust production plans that minimise disruptions and optimise resource use.
*Liaise closely with the supply chain team and internal departments to ensure timely availability of all required materials and components.
*Set clear priorities for material allocation, component production, rework, OE activities.
*Actively participate in weekly Supply Chain meetings
*Follow up with internal suppliers to ensure they remain on track with their commitments.
*Escalate and expedite components where necessary to maintain OTD performance.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and drive planning improvements.
*Provide cover for other planners during short-term absences.
*Continuously seek out and implement improvements to enhance planning processes and efficiency.
Essential Skills
*Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to drive issues to resolution.
*Experience using SAP, Excel, and other digital tools for materials planning.
*Ability to work under pressure, influence stakeholders, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
