As Manager, you will lead the day-to-day running of the shop with a strong focus on customer service, donor relations and creating a welcoming shop environment. You will also play a key role in donations preparation and sorting for the shop floor, which involves a significant amount of manual handling.
In addition to paid staff, you will recruit and manage volunteers who collect, sort and prepare donations and provide excellent service to customers. You will establish links with local businesses, Salvation Army Corps and individuals in the community to secure donations and volunteer support, training others where needed.

Responsibilities

* Coordinate and oversee the processing, sorting and preparation of donations for the shop floor. This role involves manual handling.
* Recruit, train and manage a bank of skilled and general volunteers to assist with donations, sorting and customer service.
* Establish and maintain links with local businesses, Salvation Army Corps and community individuals to secure donations and volunteer time, and to train others.
