Hanham Woods Academy is looking for a Pastoral Support Officer, who will promote and safeguard students welfare and personal development. They will help to facilitate and encourage a learning environment, which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential and have a positive school experience.

* Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, term time only + insets
* Provisional Start Date: 6 January 2026
About You
You will demonstrate:
* A good understanding of safeguarding within an educational setting or transferable knowledge of safeguarding.
* Experience of developing and maintaining good relationships with students and having appropriate contact with families and carers of children.
* A keen interest in working with children and young people and a commitment to improving the life chances of students.
* Commitment to continuous improvement through professional development, self-evaluation, and awareness.
