HGV Class 2 Drivers Wanted - Berkshire
Location: Ascot
Pay: £16.00 per hour (based on a 45-hour week)
Hours: 07:00 - 17:00 (1-hour unpaid break)
Overtime: £24.00 per hour after 9 hours per day
About the Role:
Join a leading waste management company as an HGV Class 2 Driver, responsible for delivering plant and tool machinery across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and committed drivers to become part of a growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
-Loading and unloading vehicles
-Delivering and collecting plant machinery and tools
-Completing necessary paperwork
-Following health & safety procedures
-Reporting any vehicle defects
-Assisting at other depots when required
-Supporting non-driving tasks in the depot and yard
-Attending relevant training courses
-Keeping qualifications up to date
-Communicating effectively with staff and customers
Requirements:
-Valid CPC, Tacho Card, and Full Driving Licence
-Basic mechanical knowledge
-Good literacy skills
-Strong communication and customer service skills
-Flexibility with overtime and assigned tasks
-Good knowledge of UK roads and routes
-A team player with the ability to work independently
-Commitment to health & safety and customer satisfaction
-Willingness to learn about new products and services
