Job Description Compliance Officer (Insurance) Location: UK Locations Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 Reporting to: Compliance Manager We are seeking a seasoned Compliance Officer to join our team. In this role, you will provide accurate and effective compliance advice and support, helping ensure that both retail and wholesale financial services businesses meet their regulatory obligations and adhere to internal processes and procedures. This is a hands-on role that involves close collaboration with stakeholders across the business. You should have experience in a financial services compliance role—ideally within the general insurance sector—and possess the confidence to produce clear process documentation, reports, and MI that engage stakeholders at all levels. Key Responsibilities: Work with business teams to support delivery of objectives while ensuring adherence to group policies. Collaborate with the 2nd Line of Defence to ensure advice and guidance is implemented in line with risk appetite. Identify and prioritize compliance actions through the analysis of conduct and regulatory MI, including trend and root cause analysis. Assess the effectiveness of business controls and implement improvements where necessary. Assist with the creation and review of compliant documentation, ensuring timely implementation of regulatory changes. Support, and where appropriate lead, the management and resolution of breaches, errors & omissions, and complaints, with a focus on root cause and control effectiveness.
