Position: Assistant Portfolio Accountant
Location: Hybrid – London/Vauxhall (SW8), twice a week
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Contract: 12-month FTC

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
Role Specific Accountabilities
1. Support the preparation of annual accounts for audit, including bank reconciliations and supporting documentation.
2. Assist in managing the audit process in line with legislation and deadlines.
3. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for clients.
4. Support the set-up of new clients on financial systems.
5. Assist in raising service charge demands.
6. Prepare ad hoc reports and provide accounting information/analysis as required.
7. Liaise with accounting teams and property managers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of records.
8. Assist with monitoring cash flow and outstanding creditors.
9. Support accounting for Developer Set-Up Funding.
10. Assist with preparation and control of void service charges.
Previous Experience / Technical Competency:
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
12. Excellent IT and numeracy skills.
13. GCSE or equivalent Grade C+ in Mathematics and English.
14. Working towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
15. Good knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
16. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
17. Ability to work effectively under tight and conflicting deadlines.
18. Team player with a “can do” attitude and practical approach to work.
