Your role
Responsibilities and tasks expected:
* GI: Receipt and checking of goods to basic principles (Qty, Type, Damage, Documentation, etc.)
* Location of goods into inventory system and warehouse locations
* Disposal of incoming packaging
* Notifying interested parties of receipted goods
* Filing of documentation
* Dealing with supplier rejects and returns
* Maintaining a clean and tidy working area
* Stores: Movement of stock and inventory around the warehouse
* Kitting of production build kits for the shop floor
* Counting of consumables using inventory weighing scales
* Highlight kitting errors and concerns
* Maintain a high level of pick accuracy
* Documenting and highlighting kit shortages
* Part marking kits, components and items for clear identification
* Dealing with ad‑hoc material requests from the production line
* Control of “Release of kits” to shop floor
* Assist in determining suitable kitting equipment (tubes, bins, trolleys, etc.)
* Taking on some facilities management of the warehouses
Requirements
* Great attention to detail
* Be both numerate and literate
* Methodical, thorough and well organised
* Able to take instruction, work under own initiative and with minimal supervision
* Able to interpret picking lists
* Able to determine component or part fragility in regards to packing and handling
* Eye for quality to spot obvious issues
* A level of physical fitness
* Time driven and able to meet deadlines
* Good time keeping and attendance
