Weare seeking a 24 hour part time Band 5 nurse to work in our busy childrensoutpatients department based at Barnsley Hospital.
Childrensservices had gone through a transformational change over the past 3 years, thisincludes childrens outpatients and its recovery from Covid 19.
OurChildrens outpatients department has a highly regarded childrens phlebotomyservice.
Theideal candidate would have or be willing to undertake phlebotomy in childrenand be someone who likes a fast-paced working environment.
Main duties of the job
To provideeffective clinical and holistic individualised family centred care to thepatients and families during their out-patient appointment, ensuring deliveryis to the highest standard.
Maintainingevidenced based practice is performed at all times, being responsible forupdating own knowledge and skills in line with the Trust polices,multidisciplinary team and the NMC Code.
Developingleadership skills, actively participating in service development.
Carry outall relevant forms of nursing care and patient management for children andyoung people.
Participatein the supervision and teaching of new members of staff including nursingstudents and paramedics.

Experience
 * Experience in venepuncture or willing to undertake training.
