About us

St Johns Way Medical Centre is an NHS GP practice, established in Archway, North London in the 1880s, and today serves a diverse local population of approximately 13,500 patients.

Our vision is to deliver high-quality, appropriate, sustainable healthcare at the right time, by the right person. We aim to maintain and improve the health of our population through patient empowerment in an environment of wellbeing, responsibility and mutual respect.

What we are proud of

A Culture of growth: We are a long-established, highly regarded training practice, with four GP trainers, and half of our current GP team having trained with us. We also engage in medical student teaching, training of nursing staff and we supervise and support a wide multidisciplinary team, including clinical pharmacists, first contact physiotherapist and social prescriber.

Modern workload management: The practice operates an AccuRx Total Triage model, which optimises patient access to care provided by our multidisciplinary team. We support digital access and inclusion, encouraging the use of online consultation tools and the NHS App, while ensuring support remains available for patients who may be digitally excluded.

Leadership and innovation: Our GP Partners hold senior leadership roles within the wider system, including positions within the Primary Care Network (PCN), contributing to service development, education and innovation.
