Your newpany is a market‑leading, long‑established organisation based in Doncaster, known for its strong reputation, excellent staff retention and a brilliant, supportive finance team. They are now seeking part‑time accounts support to join their friendly, close‑knit office and play a key role in their continued success.
Your new role
This is a fantastic part‑time opportunity, working 8am – 2pm, Monday to Friday (30 hours per week). The hours are spread evenly over 5 days.
1. You will look after your own allocated area, taking responsibility for monitoring customer accounts, downloading daily bank reports, reviewing customer payments and identifying any outstanding balances.
2. You’ll investigate reasons for non‑payment, resolve issues linked to orders, and work closely with Customer Service and Area Sales Managers to ensure a smooth process.
3. Building strong relationships with customers will be a key part of the role, as will working closely with the Senior Credit Controller.
4. You will also support with accounts administration, credit control and payroll duties when required. This includes processing invoices when the Purchase Ledger team is absent, preparing quotations, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.
5. You will provide weekly payroll support
6. Checking timesheet anomalies, uploading drivers’ hours into internal systems, processing new starters and leavers, uploading payroll details into Sage Payroll, and ensuring all information is accurate. Experience handling cash payments for drivers would be beneficial.
What you'll need to succeed
You’ll ideally bring experience in credit control, payroll or general transactional finance, along with strong all‑round accounts administration skills. Sage 200 experience is desirable but not essential — the team is happy to support training for the right person.What matters most is that you’re a friendly, motivated team player who’s willing to help with invoicing, account queries and day‑to‑day finance tasks to keep the department running smoothly. You should feel confidentmunicating with customers and colleagues, managing your own workload, and stepping in across different areas when needed.
