Cygnet Healthcare is looking for a Learning Disabilities Support Worker to join our team at Oakwood Gardens.
You’ll be working 42 hours a week (Days & Nights from 07:45 am/pm till 08:00 pm/am, including alternative weekends), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Oakwood Gardens.
Oakwood Gardens has 9 self-contained bungalows supporting adults over 18 with learning difficulties & autism in WV5 0BR, Wombourne.
Supported Living in Wombourne provides nine tenancies, empowering individuals with complex mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviours to live more independently. The service offers personalized and tailored support in private spaces, allowing residents to hold their own tenancy with a registered housing association.
* Must have experience working with Learning Disabilities.
About The Role:
* Helping to promote resident independence.
* Supporting residents in daily activities, encouraging independence.
* Monitoring residents and reporting concerns to senior team members or managers.
* Going out with residents into the community for events, parks, restaurants, and activities.
* Completing resident records to monitor health.
