The role As a Project Manager for heat network design and build, you will be at the forefront of delivering innovative low-carbon heating systems across the UK. You will take full ownership of projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves a strong focus on client and stakeholder management, cost control, and on-site coordination. Youll be managing 1015 projects (ranging from £150k to £2M), working closely with high-net-worth clients, schools, and major developers. As a UK-wide company, candidates must be willing to travel nationally depending on project requirements all travel and mileage expenses are fully covered. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience, SMSTS certification, and a proven ability to manage concurrent projects in the construction or utilities sector. This is a role that involves site-based and office based working and excellent progression potential as the company grows. Your work will include: Taking full accountability for the delivery of multiple heat network projects. Developing and managing detailed project programmes, identifying and resolving risks. Acting as the main point of contact for clients and key stakeholders. Leading on commercial control, including cost tracking, change management, and contract compliance. Coordinating with internal design, procurement, installation, and support teams. Using project management systems to track progress, manage workflows, and produce reports. Providing clear, accurate progress updates to internal and external stakeholders. Ensuring compliance with quality, health & safety, and industry best practice. Motivating and guiding project teams to achieve outstanding results. About you Demonstrable experience in a management role overseeing multiple concurrent projects. Exceptional organisational skills and strong commercial acumen. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all levels. Decisive, proactive, and delivery-focused approach. Resilient under pressure, with the ability to maintain clarity and control. Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management software. Collaborative and team-oriented, with experience in construction or renewable energy project lifecycles. Qualifications and desired skills NVQ Level 6 or similar (essential); bachelors degree or higher preferred. Professional accreditation (or working towards) such as CIOB, APM, or similar.
