Interim Head of HR – West London – £700 a day (umbrella)
A local authority based in West London is seeking an experienced Interim Head of HR to provide strategic leadership and direction to its HR service.
Role Overview:
You will lead the development and implementation of the Council’s overall HR Strategy, ensuring it aligns with the wider corporate business plan and delivers measurable outcomes against key performance indicators. This pivotal role will oversee the full employee lifecycle, ensuring the HR team delivers high-quality, customer-focused services across all aspects of HR.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor the Council’s HR strategy in line with corporate priorities.
Lead, inspire, and manage the HR team to deliver excellence in service and performance.
Drive effective transformational change, ensuring the organisation achieves its strategic and operational goals.
Oversee people strategy development, workforce planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
Manage HR budgets and ensure effective allocation of resources.
Requirements:
Proven experience working at Head of Service level within a local authority.
Demonstrable track record of leading transformational change and delivering tangible outcomes.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Experience in developing and implementing strategic people plans and managing budgets effectively
