We are seeking an experienced CNC Milling Programmer / Operator / Setter to join our professional engineering team in Abingdon. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Milling Programmer / Operator / Setter who takes pride in quality, accuracy and delivering right first-time results.
You will program, set and operate CNC milling machines using safe and efficient methods to produce high-precision components.
Key Responsibilities
* Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Creating layout sheets for tooling, set ups and repeatable processes
* Self-inspection using measuring equipment and completing quality documentation
* Working independently to meet high standards and deadlines
* Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining a safe working environment
Skills and Experience required
* Ideally 5+ years’ experience with 3, 4 and 5 Axis CNC machines
* Strong knowledge of Heidenhain controls
* Fanuc experience advantageous
* Experience with Doosan, Matsuura or Mazak machines
* Ability to machine to tight tolerances around 20µm
* Experience producing larger components up to 2.5m
* Strong work ethic, reliability and positive attitude
