Location: Canterbury, Kent
Salary: £120 - £250 per day (depending on experience)
Start date: April 2026

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Primary Teacher to join a vibrant and welcoming junior school located in the historic cathedral city of Canterbury. The selected Primary Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to a Key Stage 2 class, helping pupils to achieve their full potential in a supportive and stimulating environment.
The school is a well-established and highly regarded junior school, recently rated 'Good' by Ofsted, which praised the school's warm and inclusive atmosphere and strong commitment to pupil well-being and personal development. The successful Primary Teacher will join a collaborative and supportive team of professionals who are committed to excellence in primary education.
As a Primary Teacher, you will be expected to:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high standards of behaviour and achievement.
Assess, record, and report on pupil progress, using data to inform future planning and targeted support.
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to support each child's development.
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities, school events, and pastoral initiatives.
To be considered for this Primary Teacher role, the candidate must:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Have experience teaching in a UK primary school, preferably within Key Stage 2.
Possess a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment frameworks.
Have the right to work in the UK.
Meet GSL's safer recruitment background checks.
Have a Child Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
