The States of Guernsey are looking for a Team Leader to join the Autism Hub within Adult Disability Services.
The post holder is a member of the Adult Disability Service that supports people with Autism and profound and multiple learning disabilities. The post holder will be based at the Autism Hub, at Le Vieux Jardin. Staff are required to work a shift system that offers support 24 hours a day.
The Autism Hub supports eight people who live in their own bungalows at Le Vieux Jardin, which is an autism-specific purpose-built facility. Staff support with all activities of daily living using the active support model. This may include cleaning, shopping, washing ironing, cooking, personal care, managing finances, accessing the community etc. Service users are encouraged to participate in these activities with the staff.
Post holder is expected to be able to coordinate and lead a team within the service and also develop and implement programmes of care support.
