Job Title: Locum Cath Lab Radiographer (Band 6)

Job Summary:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 Cath Lab Radiographer to join a busy cardiac catheterisation unit in North London on a locum basis. This role involves supporting a wide range of interventional cardiology procedures including angiography, pacemaker and ICD implants, and PCI. The ideal candidate will have prior cath lab experience and be confident working within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality imaging support during cardiac catheterisation procedures.
* Operate specialist X-ray equipment in line with radiation safety protocols.
* Work alongside cardiologists, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care.
* Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
* Assist with patient preparation and recovery as required.
* Participate in weekday shifts, with occasional on-call or weekend availability desirable (but not essential).
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
* BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
* HCPC registered.
* Minimum of 6–12 months’ experience working in a cath lab setting.
* Competent in using fluoroscopy systems for interventional cardiology.
* Strong team player with good communication skills.
Desirable:
* Previous NHS experience in a cath lab environment.
* Experience with systems such as Siemens Artis, GE Innova, or Philips Azurion.
* IV cannulation certification.
