Electric Vehicle Technician
Job Overview
Seahorse Amphibious is looking for an Electric Vehicle Technician to support the build, testing, maintenance, and improvement of our electric amphibious vehicles. This is a hands-on role working with EV systems in a unique land-and-water environment.
You'll be part of an engineering team building innovative electric vehicles used in tourism and specialist transport.
Responsibilities
* Install, assemble, and maintain electric vehicle systems (motors, controllers, inverters, batteries)
* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
* Carry out vehicle testing and commissioning on land and water
* Perform servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance
* Read and follow wiring diagrams and technical drawings
* Support prototype builds and new vehicle development
* Work safely with high- and low-voltage systems
* Keep clear records of work completed and issues identified
Requirements
* Experience as an EV technician, automotive technician, or electrical technician
* Knowledge of electric drivetrains and vehicle electrical systems
* Confident fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Good mechanical ability and hands-on experience
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Desirable Skills (Not Essential)
* Experience with lithium-ion batteries and BMS
* CAN bus diagnostics experience
* Marine or boat electrical experience
* EV or electrical qualifications (IMI EV, Level 3, or equivalent)

Pay: £35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
